Killed in action 5th May 1943, aged 24 years when a crew member of  a Halifax bomber HR 667 .        During a bombing mission flying from Pocklington targeting Dortmund, Germany, the bomber crashed at Westergeeste, Holland.

Remembered on the Runnymede Memorial and the City of London Police WWII Memorial,                   Wood Street Police Station
